His name is Ohanme Solomon Chinagorom.A native of Abia state who was born in Lagos state Nigeria (25th of August).He has released several singles as an underground rapper with the mononym
“AWESOME”.His first single was released in 2011 titled “RANSOM” which was produced by Alonzo.He is a music freak which makes him freestyle on any beat. His second single “AM NOT HUMAN” was dropped in 2012 and has so far been supported by another single titled “BEAT OF LIFE”.
Some of his songs are:WE GO DANCE ft Jah-Jah, PRIDE OF THE NATION, RANSOM,ACHOM NSOGBU   AM NOT HUMAN, PAFUYA ft Chillar, BEAT OF LIFE
In 2013 the young talented rapper who infuse indigenous languages in his rap released a single, “PRIDE OF THE NATION”,produced by Khorus.And his most successful single till date “WE GO DANCE” produced by YoungJohn was released in this year 2014 which he backed up with two new singles “ACHOM NSOGBU” also produced by YoungJohn and “PAFUYA” produced by Elbi Beat Production.
He is motivated by BARRISTER BOLAJI GOLD and his role model is MICHAEL JACKSON.The young talented rapper grew up in Lagos and also schooled in (Vetland Senior Grammar School) Lagos.Awesome who can blend in,in other genre of music apart from the one he does,was raised by SUNLARGE and he is the first of seven children.

Celebrated film maker, Tunde Kelani is currently shooting a short film aimed at raising awareness on the dreaded Ebola virus.
According to reports, a UK based health organisation contacted Kelani to shoot the campaign on the virus. Already onset for the short film is actress Halima Abubakar, who plays the role of Aisha. Other actors include Yomi Fash Lanso, Kunle Afolayan, Toyin Aimakhu Johnson and Funky Mallam.

Reports reaching us claim that founder of the Living Faith Church Worldwide aka Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has been barred from entering the United Kingdom. A source at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport told ‘ThisisAfrica’, that Oyedepo’s barring was communicated to airlines via an ‘Airline Alert’ on Saturday, 9 August. The alert stated that any airline that acts against the ban will be fined £2000 (N542,000). According to a recent Daily Mail and Guardian report, an inquiry by the UK Charitable Commission accused the UK branch of Winners Chapel of cynically exploiting supporters. In addition to the report of Oyedepo’s barring on ‘ThisisAfrica’, there was also a photo of the alleged ‘Airline alert’.

Another National Conference Delegate Is Dead

Another delegate, Professor Muhammad Nur Alkali in the on-going National Conference in Abuja is dead.

The news of his death was revealed in a statement released by the confab’s secretariat.

The Secretariat of the National Conference on Saturday morning received with great grief the sad news of the demise of Professor Muhammad Nur Alkali, who was one of the six delegates representing the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs (SCIA) at the 2014 National Conference in Abuja.
Professor Alkali died in his residence in Maiduguri on the night of Friday, August 1, 2014. He was 68 years old.
A Professor of History and two-term Vice Chancellor of the University of Maiduguri (1985 – 1992), the late Mr. Alkali was Director General of the Nigeria Institute of Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) and Chairman, Presidential Advisory Committee under the administration of General Sani Abacha. More recently, he was a member of the Committee on Insecurity in the North East (The Boko Haram Committee)
He will be buried later today, Saturday, August 2, 2014, in Maiduguri.
The Conference Chairman, Justice Idris Kutigi, feels deeply distressed by this sad development and on behalf of the Conference Secretariat and Delegates, has expressed his deep condolences to the family of the late Professor, and the Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs, the platform which Alkali represented at the Conference. Justice kutigi prays the Almighty receives his spirit and grants his soul sweet repose.
